We were lucky to find Alisa but it was difficult. My wife Susan, Sweet Susan, has Alzheimer’s Dementia. Finally, about 3 years ago, her family Dentist of many years told me he could no longer treat her because she could not follow his directions and we needed a Dentist who could sedate her!
It took almost 2 years but luckily we live in Philadelphia and I thought they must teach this at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School! Of course, they do but they told me my wife would see Dr. Alisa Kauffman and she probably would not need to use sedation. That sounded great, and like Magic!
What Alisa uses is a highly refined professional approach that saw Susan as a loving person who needed her Dentist to show her respect and gentle care along with her innovated approaches to deliver cutting edge Dentistry.
She said what she did in her office at Penn was the same as she does in peoples’ homes and apartments in NYC. These people often cannot easily get to a Dentist, so she brings the Dentist to them and helps them to preserve their Dental Health so they can manage to continue to do one of their most needed pleasures: EAT!!
